Celebration Fun!

My 31rst birthday was this past weekend so we celebrated with a party at my parent's house. Fun times! My mom cooked a delicious lunch and a yummy allergy-free dessert. The girls had so much fun decorating and yes, they put all 31 candles on the cookie cake! Took a lot of air to blow out that many. :-) As is typical here in the south it ended up being a warm day in February so we even got to enjoy going outside. Unfortunately, we currently have 2 pretty sick babies so my actual b'day was spent caring for them, but it was nice to celebrate while we could! Prayers for health are appreciated and here are a few pictures to see of our day. I'm so thankful to be blessed with another year to live and look forward to what God will do in the future! Until next time......

Our Little Worker!

Due to him having so many outdoor allergies, there's a lot of things Dathan just isn't able to do. Yard work with his daddy has always been one of them, but after a few treatments and recently seeming a little better with reactions we decided to let him give it a try. He is loving being able to help out and his favorite part so far? Push-mowing! The crazy boy even requested that Blake not finish the yard with the riding mower on Saturday so he can do it himself tomorrow. What a great little worker! :-)

I couldn't resist snapping a couple of pictures of him doing such a great job and thought I would share them since they're just so cute. He does still wear a mask and glasses to help with the allergy stuff and between that and taking a quick shower and his homeopathics he hasn't had any serious problems so far. Yay! Hoping he's able to continue helping out with it since he is having so much fun. He's even mentioned having his own little yard business eventually. So glad he's wanting to work hard like that.......now if I could just get him this excited over cleaning his room! lol

Pictures of 3-D's! ;-)

A few fun moments to share in the middle of these crazy, hectic days!

(please excuse the unfolded clothes.....the picture was just too cute to care! haha)

(this girl is growing up so fast and is currently missing her 2 front teeth which makes her look so different!)

(poor baby had a rough week and not much sleep....she finally gave it up on the couch one day and got a little nap)

       (Darcey's messed up morning (or after nap) hair.....so funny!)

(trying to "dance" around to some music that came on the computer....love the look on his face!)

(I guess we would call her the dancing princess? lol)

(this is Darcey trying to dance around like the big kids....she was totally focused here. haha)

                     (bouncing fun on the birthday inflatable!)

Love these 3-D kiddos and can't wait to add another little D into the mix in a few more weeks! :-)

Maternity Outfits

I don't normally do link-ups since this is mainly just a family blog, but after seeing the Modest Mom's post on facebook about how she'd like more people to write about modesty, wearing skirts, etc then I figured I would join in! (I'm thinking that might have been a run-on sentence? lol)
Anyway, I'm not great at taking pictures of myself but since I'm pregnant we have snapped a couple recently that I thought would work for sharing. Maternity clothes (especially cute, modest ones) are pretty hard to find but maybe this post will give you some idea of things to try. I'm 23 weeks right now and still able to do some outfits that aren't technically maternity so that's what these are. I'll try to take more pictures and share again in the coming weeks when I get more into the actual maternity wear! For now here are the ones I have....

This first one is a skirt I bought last year at Burlington Coat Factory and a shirt I've had for awhile now that came from New York and Company. The skirt has an elastic waist so it still fits okay under my growing belly. :) And the shirt is stretchy cotton so there was a little give in it as well, plus it's longer so everything stays covered! (as a side note, the cami underneath isn't quite as high up as I would like....I think my stomach being larger pulled it down more and I didn't realize it until after I wore it for awhile. It didn't show cleavage or anything which is my main concern but would have been nicer if it covered more of my chest I think!)

This second one is super comfy which is great right now of course. Both pieces actually came from Target but I bought them at different times and they just ended up working together. I have a belt that I normally wear with this outfit but it doesn't work very well around my belly at the moment! :) The skirt has the fold-down band at the waist and I think it is probably going to work for most of my pregnancy since there's alot of give there. I did go up a size in this because the material tends to cling a little if it's too tight so I wanted plenty of room. The shirt once again is just cotton and stretchy as well as having good length so it is perfect for growing into.

I like that I'm still able to wear some of my "regular" clothes this far along in the pregnancy. I'm already wearing a few maternity outfits as well but just haven't gotten pictures of them yet. Hope this helped some of you with ideas on how to wear skirts and/or dress modestly during pregnancy! Be sure to click through the link above to see all the other posts on the link-up. :-)

Wordless Wednesday

Just wanted to share some pics of our fun, crazy kiddos who are growing up way too fast! They have definitely been enjoying the early spring weather this year.....as you can see. :-)

(had a few more to add but blogger is not wanting to upload for some reason so I guess that's all for now! I'll be sure to share more later.)

Fun and Crazy Kids!

Just wanted to share a few pictures of the kiddos. They have so much fun playing around the house. And of course Darcey thinks she's as big as the older two! Hope you enjoy seeing some of our crazy moments....

   {silly girls....sticking out their tongues instead of smiling!}

      {he's teaching her how to play army....and she loves it!}

 {Delancey was reading to Darcey....sweetest thing ever!}

{Dathan was reading and Darcey just had to be up in the chair with him. She's playing on the "laptop".}

As you can probably tell, we've been spending lots of time in the living room just hanging out these days. But even though I might be too sick to get around much, the kids definitely still manage to find plenty to do! Which is probably why the background in all the pics is so messy. Shhhh, but don't tell anyone, okay? :)

It's Official!

Well, I realized the last few posts have been about Delancey and had pictures in them, but I wanted to do just one more so I can share some of her graduation with you. The program went great and the kids had so much fun. We are so proud of her! But without any further ado.... here are some pictures from that night. Enjoy! :-)

All the gang!

During the program.

Getting her diploma!

Happy Fall, Ya'll!!

I've been meaning to post some pictures of our autumn decorations, but just haven't gotten around to it before now. It seemed like this morning was the perfect time though since it's turned so cool and actually feels like fall weather! (which is a relief for me since the heat while being so big was more than a little miserable) We love doing a harvest scene this time of year and I think these kind of decorations are quickly becoming my favorite. The colors are just so pretty and all the things about harvest and giving thanks serve as a great reminder of how much we've been blessed! Hope you enjoy the pictures......

(p.s. by the way, hobby lobby already has most of their fall decorations half off so if you're wanting to pick up some stuff now's the perfect time!)
